How to Setup / Use iMessage on Mountain Lion
The very first step is to open your iMessage app on your Mac OS, for all those who don’t know, blue and white bubble icon on your dock represents the iMessage. If you have are already entered your credentials in the iCloud then its good. If you haven’t done that, you will need to enter your Apple ID details in the iMessage. Open the App and enter the details and hit the login button.
- How to send a message from iMessage?
Sending a message from iMessage is pretty easy, simply click on the create message button right next to the search bar. Enter the name of Recipient, write down your message and press the “Send” button on the screen.
- How to add other IM accounts in iMessage.
If any of your contacts doesn’t have an Apple ID than you don’t need to worry because with this very early version of iMessage, you can add other IM accounts such as Yahoo, AOL, Gmail and Jabber in iMessage.
- Launch the iMessage, on the top bar, hit the “message” button and then select the “preferences”.
- Now, Select the “account” and hit the “+” button.
- In the window, select your IM account and add the details, after finishing, click on “Done”
